The SAIL designed as a bird of peace with the abbreviation of the Institute of Cultural Studies for Western Mindanao represents the commitment of ICSWM as an instrument of peace to fulfill its vision not only in the Ateneo de Zamboanga community but throughout the region.

The MAP represents Western Mindanao and its multi-cultural populace.

The MOSQUE represents Islam and the Muslim brethren.

The CHURCH represents Christianity and the Christian brethren.

The ROPE represents the bonding together of the multi-cultural and multi-religious groups in the region.

The SPIRES represents the dauntless efforts of the peace advocates of the Ateneo de Zamboanga to help bring about peace through cultural understanding throughout the region.
