Fostering reflection and strengthening human connection within professional and academic communities, the Alumni and Career Excellence Office, in partnership with the Advancement Office, held a Book Seeding Event featuring Mr. Michael Vincent S. Calantas, author of “Public Posts, Private Soul: Stories of Strength, Stillness, and the Sacred Art of Showing Up.” The event created a space for meaningful dialogue on the lived experiences behind various professions, highlighting storytelling, empathy, and shared reflection as vital elements of community-building and personal growth.

Ateneo de Zamboanga University President Fr. Guillrrey Anthony “Ernald” M. Andal, SJ, underscored the value of initiatives that bring people together in moments of shared reflection and learning, expressing gratitude for initiatives that bring the community together in shared reflection. “We say thank you for making us be part of this journey here in AdZU, among people we receive happily not only from an author, but from our own,” he said.

Echoing this purpose, Mr. Calantas emphasized that the initiative’s purpose extended beyond the distribution of books. “The goal is not really to distribute a book, it is to create meaningful conversations among the human stories behind our professions,” he shared.
The gathering stands as a testament to the University’s enduring commitment to nurturing a culture of reflection, dialogue, and shared learning, one that affirms the human stories that shape professions and strengthen the bonds of community.
