School of Management and Accountancy

The objectives of the school are the following:
- Equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to be effective practitioners in the field of business and management.
- Develop in the students an entrepreneurial spirit in order to significantly contribute towards the development of the city and the region.
- Provide students with academic and professional training that is grounded on faith in God and the Jesuit ideals.
- Develop in the students a sense for ethical business practice and care and concern for the environment.

Vision

The School of Management and Accountancy aspires to become the center of excellence in business education in Region IX and to holistically develop students toward social and environmental responsibility and global competitiveness.

Mission

The School of Management and Accountancy aims to:
- Produce students who are equipped with sufficient knowledge and skills to cope with the demands of globalization and the changing demands of society.
- Promote the Ignatian values and culture of peace.
- Propagate the ethical business practices and proper care for the environment.
- Persevere towards excellence and spirituality.

Shifting Policy (Effective School Year 2018-2019)
A. For a non-business student to qualify to shift to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Bachelor of Science in Legal Management (BSLM), or Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) programs, the following requirements should be met.

A.1. Compliance of the admission policy for the program.

A.2. No more than 3 units of failure during the semester of studies immediately preceding.

A.3. The GPA should be at least 1.5.

B. For a business student to qualify to shift to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) or Bachelor of Science in Legal Management (BSLM) programs, the following requirements should be met.

B.1. Compliance of the admission policy for the program.

B.2. No more than 3 units of failure during the semester of studies immediately preceding.

B.3. Final grade of at least 1.5 in the major subjects (BC and CBMEC) and business subjects (PMC).

B.4. The GPA should be at least 1.5.

Academic Programs

Trains students for a profession in public accounting, commerce and industry, government agencies, and the academe, equipping them with the ability to support operating decisions through financial data arising from business transactions.

prepares the students for global accounting information system certificate examination (CISA) and other global professional accounting certificates, and more

Prepares students for managerial and/or supervisory positions in companies. The focus is on strategic analysis and corporate development for competitiveness and performance.

Creation and innovation of new business concepts, processes, and systems that will be tested by the students in the local market through business incubation, and later launched as an enterprise.

The BSIA program prepares the students for global internal auditing and fraud examiners’ certificate examinations (CIA and CFE) and more.

Students undergo an internship program in local and/or national legal or legislative offices and institutions which provide them with exposure and experience in a work environment that apply the theories and principles learned in class.

Provides a foundation for a career in managerial accounting and finance, commerce and industry, consultancy services and government agencies, involving management planning, controlling, decision-making and performance evaluation.

Develops the skills, knowledge, and attitude of students in office administration and management, focusing on the development of clerical and office skills toward higher organizational productivity and efficiency.

Graduate Programs

This program prepares individuals to serve as managers, executive and policy analysts in the executive arm of local, provincial, regional and national government. [view the prospectus]

This program teaches and installs students the traits and skills necessary for effectively managing and administering tasks and projects. Students of this program will undergo a 300-hr internship program that is designed to apply the managerial, communication skills, and business decision making capabilities of students.
