MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY
RE: SOLEMNITY OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BVM
I wish to inform our community that as in recent past we will have a non-academic day on 08 December 2011, to celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our university patroness and companion. This means that there will be spiritual (non-academic) activities during that day. I trust the different academic units have planned spiritual program for the day. The schedule of Masses on that day is as follows:
8.00 AM – GS Mass (MPCC) & HS Mass (HS lobby, WH Kreutz Campus)
10.30 AM – Central Services and Tertiary Level Mass (MPCC)
For those who can, I invite you to join the Pontifical Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (MCIC) at 9.00 AM in solidarity with our local church. Moreover, I urge the Catholics to join the Archdiocesan novena Mass on 06 December, Tuesday, 5.30 PM, MCIC. AdZU will be the main sponsor of this Mass.
May our Blessed Virgin Mary who was immaculately conceived continue to be our patroness and companion as we journey toward our centenary year.
