SMA – Legal Management Society and
their “Happy Kid Project”
The Legal Management Society of Ateneo de Zamboanga
University under the School of Management and Accountancy created the “HappyKid
Project” to help address the needs of the children in Tugbungan who suffered
from flooding of the recent typhoon last October.
On morning of November 16 and 25, 2013 the Legal Management
Students, led by the program organizer Ms. Kara Velasco, distributed 153 bags
and schools supplies to the elementary students of Tubungan here in Zamboanga
City.
Also present in the project were moderator Mr. Jose Journal
Pangan, Mr. Ralph Chua faculty of the Accountancy Department, Mr. Dexter Velez
the assistant chair for Office Management, Mr. Francis Arroyo the assistant
chair for Business Administration, and Management Outreach Coordinator Mr.
Edwin Pamaran.
The project served as an inspiration to the Legal Management
students. The smiling faces of the children reminded them that helping young
people is a significant act of kindness that embodies Ateneo’s motto of Pro deo
et Patria.
