Cellyn Aron-Verallo, director of the university Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) office led the signing of the memorandum of agreement between Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) through the said office and representatives of partner institutions and establishments for the successful conduct of this year’s The Exchange.
The program seeks to offer Ateneo students a more meaningful and genuine appreciation for the labor force. Through a certain period, students are invited to fulfill the job requirements of some of the common forms of employment in the city.
Fr. Wilfredo M. Samson SJ, Assistant to the AdZU President for Formation, extolled the Christian values with regards to dignity of work and honesty in labor that every Atenean should uphold.
This event is but one of the many slated to celebrate the 25 years of SACSI, as revealed by a Grace Kristine M. Baylon, Advocacy Program Officer, in a primer presentation.
A video presentation of the highlights of last year’s edition capped the said event held at the Carlos Dominguez Conference Hall, on January 21, Monday.
