Resumption of Work and Suspension of Classes

MEMO TO:THE ATENEO DE ZAMBOANGA UNIVERSITY (ADZU) COMMUNITY

RE: RESUMPTION OF WORK AND SUSPENSION OF CLASSES


From the meeting of the AdZU Presidential Management Team (PMT) yesterday morning, Wednesday, 25 September 2013, I wish to inform the community on the following:

I. CLASSES:

HIGH SCHOOL & GRADE SCHOOL UNITS:

Classes shall continue to be suspended for the week September 30-October 5, 2013 (Monday-Saturday) considering that AdZU campuses are within the defined critical zones of the conflict situation. All Faculty and Staff are requested to report to their respective campuses during this week to discuss and prepare for Alternative Academic Work for the students.

HIGHER EDUCATION UNITS:

1. Graduating Students with Board Courses: The Deans shall contact the concerned students for the schedule of special classes to be conducted in Tumaga Campus.

2. Other Students: NO REGULAR CLASSES for the rest of the First Semester. Alternative Academic Work shall be undertaken. We request students to access the AdZU Portal for instructions which shall be available starting October 2, 2013 (Wednesday).

Second Semester shall begin as scheduled (see AdZU Website for the University Calendar).

3. Students of the School of Medicine (SOM), College of Law (COL) and Graduate School: The Deans have already communicated to the students their respective modes of learning. SOM students and faculty are actively engaged in the medical care of evacuees.

II. WORK:

All Faculty and Staff in all Units/Offices are expected to report to work effective September 30, 2013 (Monday).
