MEMO TO : THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE : IMMACULATE CONCEPTION MASSES
We
hold holy and special the 8th
day of December as we commemorate the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of
Mary, Patroness of AdZU and the Archdiocese of Zamboanga. It is the day
when Mary was conceived without original sin in the womb of St. Anne; a grace
Mary received because she was to be the Mother of Jesus.
This
year’s liturgical celebration is markedly a part of the Ateneo Fiesta, and
serves as thanksgiving and culmination of festivities. Thus, I invite all members of
the AdZU community to come together for the following masses in honor of our
Blessed Mother Mary.
