RE: DR JOSE P RIZAL MEMORIAL AWARDEE – PMA’S MOST OUTSTANDING PHYSICIAN RECIPIENT
I am very happy to announce to the community that Dr Fortunato “Khryss” L Cristobal, Dean of the School of Medicine and AdZU Board Trustee, was conferred by the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) the Dr Jose P Rizal Memorial Award during its 105th Annual Convention and Scientific Meeting held at the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel on 18 May 2012, Mandaluyong City. The eight finalists were screened by 15 judges coming from various sectors of society. This public recognition is given to the most outstanding physician of PMA in five categories: community leadership, academe, clinical practice, research and government service. Dr Khryss garnered the academic award.
Among others, the award grants the recipient a free travel, accommodation and registration to any scientific convention in the US and P 100,000.00 donation to any charitable institution of the awardee’s choice.
I congratulate Dr Khryss for this award. Indeed this award is a statement of his inspiring commitment to bring about equitable access to health and improvement of health condition for our people particularly in Western Mindanao and beyond.
