The Ateneo de Zamboanga University in partnership with the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Alumni Association is sponsoring a dinner for a cause entitled Dolce Vita . This is a Red Carpet Event and a tribute to the Ateneo de Zamboanga University on its 100th founding anniversary.
Ateneo, which was founded in 1912 will be celebrating its centennial in 2012.
Dolce Vita will be held on Friday, Oct 16 at the Astoria Regency in Pasonanca, this city.
Highlights of the event is a red carpet welcome similar to the Oscar’s Night, complete with photographers or “paparazzi” flicking their cameras as guests in their glamorous best arrive at the event. A group of Ateneo student street dancers will also welcome the entourage of guests. A Dolce Vita red carpet wall awaits the dazzling guests for their best solo shot.
A photo gallery will be set up at the lobby featuring pictures of Ateneo through its 100 years of existence in Zamboanga City .
The event will also feature a musical show prepared by Ateneo students and alumni, highlighted by a fashion show depicting the pre-war, post-war and modern day Ateneo. Special awards will be given to the Best Dressed Male and Female of the Night.
The night will wrap up with ballroom dancing where members of the Baile Ateneo will usher the guests to dance and enjoy the night.
Tickets will be sold at P500.00 each and is available at the Office of Alumni Relations & Development located at the ground floor of the LRC Building , Ateneo de Zamboanga University. Proceeds will go to the Ateneo Centennial Scholarship Fund.
The Dolce Vita red carpet event will be officially launched on September 8, 2009 at the Carlos Dominguez Hall where an overview of the event will be presented to the Press, Ateneo Community, Ateneo Alumni/ae and benefactors.
