After graduating last March, two (2) BS New Media and Computer Animation (BSNMCA) alumni bagged awards during the 17th Mindanao Film Festival held at Davao City last December 4-10, 2019.
Alana Lois Alano directed Quebradura, recipient of the Best Student Film and Best Sound; while Luminous, directed by Carl Venson Zarraga, won Best Animated Film.
The 17th Mindanao Film Festival aims to support Mindanao filmmakers by introducing films to new and greater audiences. The festival is made possible by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, SANDAAN, and Davao Autism Intervention Center Foundation.
