MEMO TO : THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE : AdZU Sponsorship of Novena Mass
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University is sponsoring the NOVENA MASS tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 5:00 pm at the Fort Pilar Shrine. Thus, I invite all the members of the University community to participate in the novena mass in honor of Our Lady of the Pillar and in anticipation of her feast day on the 12th of this month.
In view of the current security situation in the city, we shall forego with the customary procession from our main campus to the shrine. Instead, we shall ask our community members to directly proceed to Fort Pilar for the novena mass. Thus, classes and work will be called off at 4:00 pm until the last period to allow our faculty, staff and students to attend.
The Eucharistic Celebration will begin at 5:00 pm with the undersigned as the main presider and homilist. The rest of the Jesuit Fathers and the diocesan priests will concelebrate.
I urge the entire University Community to join in unity in this faith fellowship and to continue to pray for genuine and lasting peace for the City, in Mindanao and the entire nation.
