ACLG conducts EHEM Workshop for Schools

The Ateneo Center for Leadership and Governance (ACLG) conducted Ehem! For Schools on August 4, 2014 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Jose Maria Rosauro Hall. The main facilitator and speaker for the workshop was Fr. Albert A. Alejo SJ, the Ehem! National Coordinator. There were around 26 participants coming from the following schools: Western Mindanao State University, Claret School, Zamboanga City High School Main, Don Pablo Memorial High School North, Universidad de Zamboanga, Southern City Colleges, Ateneo High School, Pilar College, St. Joseph School, Zion Evangelical School, and Ateneo NSTP formators. The highlight of the training workshop was the intention of the different participants to celebrate an “Integrity Week” which could be implemented by the different participating schools.

It is a training-workshop for deepening involvement in combating corruption. The participants of the training are expected to become more actively and socially responsive in fighting corruption. They are also identified as supporters of the anti-corruption cultural campaign that allows people to take an active role in the fight against corruption. The ACLG sees that education is necessary not only to keep students in school and meet literacy and development goals, but to also ensure that the next generation is prepared to say no to corruption.
