A Conversation that Matters: Voices of Zamboanga – A Political Discourse

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University and the United Front for Honest, Orderly, and Peaceful Election (UF HOPE) facilitated a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) among different Sectors from the different Barangays in Zamboanga City, composed of Women, Senior, Farmers, youth, transport group, solo parent, vendors, out of school youth, students, PWD, government retirees, and Parents. The FGD emphasized the issues/Concerns that the City faces that pose concerns to their daily lives and community.

The general content of Voices of Zamboanga generally quotes from Kuwentuhang Bayan, a Political conversation manual published by Simbahang Lingkod ng Bayan (SLB). The goal of the FGD is to gather the sectoral agenda across social strata and present it to the Local Candidates on a forum where they are given the opportunity to present their plans and thoughts for the specific agenda.
