MEMO TO: THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE: RANK AND PROMOTION IMPROVEMENT

I am pleased to announce that, during the regular meeting on August 25, 2018, the Board of Trustees has approved the revised University Budget which included the new Rank and Promotion Financial Scheme which will, in effect, increase the monetary equivalent for rank and step advancement.
The Rank and Promotion Committees of the different units have also been tasked to review their respective guidelines and policies to ensure better standards and greater recognition for high performance, among which is to have more rank levels for the academic units.
I thank the Rank and Promotion committee members, the administrative teams of the different units and the members of the President’s Management team for this significant step towards the realization of our strategic thrust of improving reward & incentive system for the faculty and staff (AdZUSTRATPLAN 17/22: IV.14).
I also thank the faculty and staff for your continued commitment and support in the service of our University’s mission.
