𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹: 𝗖𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗘@𝟮𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻

In celebration of the 20th year of the College of Science, Information Technology, and Engineering (CSITE), the Blue Code Hackathon—a 3-day student-led initiative by Google Developer on Campus (GDoC Blue Eagle) in partnership with the Ateneo Informatics Computing Guild (AICG)—gathered students from various Zamboanga City schools at the Carlos Dominguez Conference Hall (CDCH) to showcase tech solutions addressing community needs.

Participants came from Pilar College, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU), and Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU). The event kicked off with Day Zero, an online session with guest speakers who guided participants on identifying clear, impactful problems.

Day One focused on ideation, with the theme centered on SDG 4: Education — “Tech for Inclusive Learning: Creating Tech Solution That Make Education More Accessible For Diverse Learners”. Teams worked closely with their coaches to develop ideas.

On Day Two, participants pitched their innovations, each offering unique solutions with the shared goal of creating meaningful change. Judges, including an educator, software engineer, and social media marketer, provided feedback and encouraged participants to push their ideas further.

Though all teams gave outstanding presentations, AdZU was unanimously declared the winner. Congratulations to all participating schools and students for the creativity and passion!
