Contest
BREAKING: Ateneo de
Zamboanga University BS Biology students emerged as champions in the National
Intercollegiate Genetics Quiz Contest held March 16, 2019, at University of the
Philippines Los Banos, Laguna.
The team was composed
senior Bio students Ray Joshua D. Macrohon, Adzhar I. Tiplani, and Najwa Hind
B. Molina.
Revolving around the theme
“Nourishing the Genome: Advancing the Conditions of Human Health through
Nutrigenomics,” the contest was composed mainly of questions in different branches of genetics.
AdZU was victorious among
ten other participating universities from all over the country. Coming in
second was University of the Philippines–Manila and Ateneo de Manila University
as third place
Their coach, Acting CSIT
Dean Jocelyn D Partosa PhD, accompanied them during the competition.
