OSA Sparks Fire in Zambo Youth

The
Ateneo Office of Student Affairs (OSA) hosted Spark Summit, an annual event for aspiring and active young leaders, at the
FWS Building, Salvador Campus, last February 9, 2019.


Pursuing
to spark passion for innovation, leadership, storytelling, and design among the
Zamboangueño Youth, the event brought together key student leaders from AdZU
and Other Zamhoanga City Schools who will eventually play as catalysts in the
21st Century.


The
one-day summit was held in partnership with Southwestern University. It was
participated by Ateneo SHS and Freshmen students and students from Zamboanga
City schools amid hopes of breakthrough and solutions to contemporary issues.

Speaking
to SPARK the Leader were environmental activist, President and Co-founder for
Angat Kabataan Tobit Cruz and Dr Jenny Lind Elmaco, Executive Director of Spark!
– a non profit organization promoting women’s political and economic
empowerment. SPARK-ing the Innovator was environment researcher, climate
advocate, and citizen journalist John Leo Algo. Francis Sollano, an
internationally-acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist, SPARKed the artist among
the participants.
