Librarians Hold Annual Orientation for New Students

The Fr. Jose T. Bacatan, SJ Library is central to student life at Ateneo de Zamboanga University. A student who knows how to use the library well has a great advantage over those who do not. That is why at the start of each school year, university librarians hold an orientation for all freshmen students

This year’s orientation series were held on June 23, 24, and 29, 2015. Librarians gave the freshmen a tour and showed them how to use the facilities and resources of the library. The new students were informed as well of library rules and regulations.

Librarian Nikko Ballovar said that the purpose of the orientation is to help students become independent library users.

The orientations are organized by the library staff in close coordination with the English Department. It was held at the Carlos Dominguez Hall.
