ADZU celebrates Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Nativity

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University administration, faculty, staff, and students held a Eucharistic celebration for the nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on September 8, 2014 12:00 noon at the University Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The mass was celebrated by Father President Karel San Juan SJ and concelebrated by the Jesuit Fathers.

In his homily, Fr Karel emphasized on the message of healing after the siege in Zamboanga City last year. He invited the community to view Mary as a model of strength and resilience – traits that she has shown throughout her life as Jesus’ mother. He also encouraged the students to maintain a close relationship with her and to continue to pursue healing in their lives.
