As part of the celebration of the midyear homecoming, alumni visited residents of a home for the elderly. This is the third year that such an activity has been held by alumni. The event was held on July 11, 2015, from 9am to 12noon at the DSWD Home for the Elderly in Baragay Talon-talon.
At the home for the elderly, alumni entertained the residents with a variety show. The show was organized by ADZU nursing students. The elderly gamely showcased their their talents in dancing and singing as well.
Alumni and the elderly then had lunch together. Before departing the home for the elderly, alumni gave the residents loot bags holding toiletries such as bath soap, tooth paste, towels.
This was one of the highlights of the 2015 midyear homecoming, which had the theme “Ateneo Alumni: Sharing. Helping. Healing.”. The homecoming was organized by members and officers of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Alumni Association, Inc. and the ADZU Alumni Relations and Development Office.
