The Languages Department of the School of Liberal Arts will celebrate the annual Buwan ng mga Wika in August at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University La Purisima Campus. This year’s theme “Wikang Filipino: Mula Baler Hanggang Buong Pilipinas” commemorates the birthplace of the Ama ng Wikang Pambansa, Manuel L. Quezon.
Various activities and competitions have been prepared to allow the students of English, Filipino, and Literature classes to appreciate the importance of language in education. The Closing Program will take place on August 28, 2009 at the Brebeuf Gymnasium. This event is organized by the faculty and staff of the Languages Department.
