Report on the Results of Two (2) Science Competitions held during the National Science Month 2010
There were two competitions that our school had participated last September 25, 2010. The first one was the PSYSC Science Olympiad National finals held at PHIVOLCS, Diliman, Quezon City which were participated by our team contestants, namely: Meela Rixsa Alfad, Alessi Chloie Alvarez and Anne Louise Falcasantos. Fortunately, our team made it to the top 10. Each team member was awarded a gold medallion and a certificate of recognition for being a national finalist. Likewise, their accompanying coach Mrs Jacquiline Dorban, Science & Health Department Chair received a certificate of recognition.
Secondly on the same date, our participation in the Division Science Quiz in four levels from Grade three to six held at Tetuan Central School also brought honors to the school. Our contestant from Grade III, Ramon Antonio Ledesma won second place; Gerald Ace Wee, placed fourth; John Louize Guban from Grade V and Allysa Kyle Aboc from Grade VI won third place respectively. All the top three winners were awarded medals and received certificates of recognition as well as their coaches.
