Psychology department holds 17th Pinning Ceremony for BS Psych students

Senior students of the BS Psychology Class 2013-2014 held their Pinning Ceremony at the University Church of the Sacred Heart on July 19, Friday. The ceremony started with a Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Edwin Castillo SJ as an act of blessing the students before they are designated to their respective practicum sites.

Dr. Claribel C. Concepcion, dean of the School of Arts and Sciences gave the welcome adress to signal the formal start of the occasion. The event centered on the theme ”Psychology: A Career Confronting Challenges with the Changing Times”. A speech was delivered by Mr. Archibald S. Siason, RGC a university counselor from the De LaSalle University –Manila, and also a former guidance counselor of Ateneo de Zamboanga University. The presentation of the pins and pinning proper were led by Ms. Rachel Castillo, practicum coordinator, assisted by Ms. Ailyn Sabdilon, chair of the Psychology Department. The interns were then led in their oath-taking by Ms. Margaux dela Paz, a member of the said class. Also present in this significant event for the students were faculty members, BS Psychology students and alumni, friends and family.
