RE: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY POLICY
I wish to inform the ADZU Community that we now have an Intellectual Property Policy (see attached document), approved by the President’s Management Core Team. Henceforth, all intellectual property agreements between the university (as represented by an office or unit) and a creator (or the equivalent) will be guided by this policy.
Please be reminded that all terms and conditions of an IP agreement or transaction must be governed by a contract. All IP arrangements previously made but not covered by a contract should be reviewed in accordance with this policy and provisions be specified in a contract.
I wish to thank the members of the IP Policy committee headed by Engr Eugene S Kanindot for the work they have done on this policy.
This policy takes effect 01 October 2010.
