Energy in our daily lives with Mary as our model
That the energy shown during Ateneo Fiesta be infused in our work, in our community outreach, and in our spirituality as we return to our regular schedule- this was the message of Fr President Karel San Juan SJ before giving the final blessings at the Mass in honor of the Immaculate Conception this morning, at the University Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He also thanked the community for the success of the Ateneo Fiesta, and the ONE-ness displayed in all the events.
Fr Salvador Wee, SJ, in his homily reminded the congregation that while novenas are admirable acts of devotion, a better way to show love to Mary is to emulate her humility and readiness to be God’s servant.
The Immaculate Conception is the patroness of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University, in whose honor the Ateneo Fiesta is celebrated.
