SDO launches “Mindanaoan ako, Filipino ako” Project
Ateneo de Zamboanga
University’s Social Development Office jump-starts the year by launching
“Mindanaoan ako, Filipino ako,” a project focused on engaging and empowering
outstanding young people of Zamboanga City, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi in nation
building and advocating peace and socio-cultural awareness.
The initiative, launched
January 9, aims to provide safe spaces for conversation and dialogue in
crafting peace and development modules to
sustain the initiative’s mission of building a culture of togetherness and
resilient communities.
SDO is partnering with MSU Tawi-Tawi and US Embassy through
Naawan HELPs Inc for this project.
Ongoing activities include visiting partner
schools in Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and Zamboanga City for an orientation and
overview of the program.
