With more than a thousand entries submitted worldwide per category, three of AdZU’s community-centered programs ranked globally—an achievement that underscores the University’s growing impact in addressing urgent social needs.

Leading the University’s ranked entries was the Pan Cada Dia Food Subsidy Program, which placed 10th in “A1: Student Support and Engagement.” The long-standing initiative, grounded in cura personalis, provides daily food assistance to students in need to support their well-being and academic continuity.
AdZU’s School of Medicine also ranked 89th in “C3: Curricular Innovation for Future-Readiness” for Community Engaged Medical Education (CEME), an innovative curriculum that immerses medical students in underserved communities to strengthen local health systems and form community-centered physicians.
Meanwhile, the ALTEC Power for Youth initiative ranked 99th in “C6: Inclusive Social Innovation for the Underserved,” an initiative that supports Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners and out-of-school youth in Region IX through inclusive and transformative educational opportunities.
As AdZU continues to chart global paths, these recognitions affirm Ateneo de Zamboanga University’s continuing commitment to innovation, inclusivity, and mission-driven service for communities, especially the underserved.
