ACLG recognized as HLGP partner by ZFF

The ADZU – Center for Leadership and Governance (ACLG) received a plaque of recognition from The Zuellig Family Foundation (ZFF) during the National Academic Partners Colloquium held on April 24, 2015 at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City.

The plaque was given to ADZU ACLG for being one of ZFF’s valuable partners in the national implementation of the Health Leadership and Governance Program (HLGP), a national program of Department of Health (DOH) and ZFF that is aimed at improving health outcomes through empowering leadership and governance, enhanced local health systems, active community participation and service delivery at the local level.

ACLG, in partnership with ZFF and DOH-RO IX, has been implementing HLGP with 42 participating local government units in the Zamboanga Peninsula since 2014.

The other academic partners – Development Academy of the Philippines, University of the Philippines Manila Center for Public Health, University of the Philippines Visayas, University of the Philippines School of Health and Sciences in Palo, Leyte, Cebu Normal University, Silliman University, Ateneo De Naga University, Ateneo de Davao University, Xavier University, Benguet State University, and Davao Medical School Foundation Inc. were also recognized for their contribution to the national program.

The ACLG hopes to institutionalize the program in Ateneo de Zamboanga University and to become a training center that provides other LGUs, government line agencies, and managers an opportunity to become bridging leaders in their own organizations.
