AAO bags AtFest 2015 over-all championship

AAO bags AtFest 2015 over-all championship

The Accountancy Academic Organization (AAO) is this year’s Ateneo Fiesta champion, besting all other academic organizations and units in the sports and non-sports categories. Coming in first runner-up is Junior High School, and the Nursing Academic Organization (NAO), second runner-up.

The announcement of winners took place past 10 in the evening of December 6, 2015 at the Multi-Purpose Covered Courts (MPCC) with supporters in full force and complete gear – waving flags,beating drums, and yelling ear-piercing cheers as names of the victors were being called out by host James de lose Reyes.

This year’s trophy is a wooden sculpture of the eagle carved out by inmates of the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm, awarded to the champion, while the first and second runners-up each received plaques, and all winners presented with certificates.

The AAO earned gold medals in the following sports events:volleyball (M), softball (F), table tennis (F), frisbee, chess (M), badminton (doubles, M & F), and track and field (F). They also netted three silver medals and six bronze medals.

In the non-sports section, AAO bagged the first prize in the yell cheering contest, the Mindanao Festival contest, the lantern-making contest, and debate; second in the pop dance contest, dancesport competition-Latin American category; and third in Minute-to-Win-it game, and Master Chef competition, and again in the dancesport-Latin American category.
