Subanon Leaders attend Feedback Giving and Basic Policy-Making workshops

The Center for Community Extension Services (CCES) Office worked with Bro. Patrick Nogoy of the Society of Jesus in the conduct of a workshop on “Developing Feedback Giving, Basic Policy- Making and Project Maintenance Process” to the Subanon Officers of the Monte Central Subanon Education Council (MSEC) on May 11 and 15, 2015 at the Sto Niño Chapel in Sitio Kanya Brgy Patalon Zamboanga City.

The Feedback giving session aimed to strengthen the relationship among officers of MSEC while the Basic Policy-Making and Project Maintenance Process session aimed to strengthen the capacity of the officers in handling, managing and sustaining a project. These sessions were deemed necessary since the MSEC will manage the MIPES, in close collaboration with the Department of Education. MIPES is the Monte Central Indigenous People’s Elementary School which was turned over to DepEd on March 20, 2015. The Indigenous Peoples’ Education Program is a result of the 4-year partnership of CCES with the Assisi Development Foundation. (See article on MIPES here: https://old.host.adzu.edu.ph/revamp/latest-news-list/3346-cces-turns-over-mipes-to-deped.html)

The sessions were facilitated by Bro. Patrick Nogoy, SJ and included workshops to provide the participants the opportunity to practice and grasp the content given. Bro Patrick put emphasis on the Subanon values and the importance of strengthening an organization. 12 leaders attended the Feedback Giving session while 15 learned about Policy-Making.

Bro Patrick stayed with CCES as part of his 1-month summer immersion. He helped CCES in all events and activities during his immersion.
