ADZU Prepares for PAASCU Visit

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University is preparing for a Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) accreditation visit on February 3 and 4, 2014.

Nine accreditors and one PAASCU representative shall visit the campuses to evaluate the university on the following areas: Administration, University Community Involvement, Library, Physical Plant, Student Services, Faculty, Instruction, and Laboratories.

The programs to be surveyed are Arts and Sciences, Elementary and Secondary Education, Business and Accountancy, and Nursing.

Ateneo is currently Level 3 accredited seeking re-accreditation during this year’s visit. PAASCU is a private, voluntary, non-profit and non- stock corporation that accredits academic programs which meet standards of quality education. Two of its previous scheduled visits to the university were cancelled in the previous year due to natural and man-made calamities that struck the city.
