RE: REPEAL OF BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH ARERBAC CONSTRUCTION
This is to inform our AdZU community that effective yesterday, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University rescinded the AdZU Canteen and Multipurpose & Building Construction Agreement with Arerbac Construction. The main reason for the nullification of the contract is Arerbac Construction’s failure to remit the Trust Fund of 10 million pesos – a pre-condition and pre-requisite to the notice to proceed (NTP) issued to the said contractor on 01 July 2010. Therefore, Arerbac Construction, managed by Engr Edwin C Cabrera, has ceased to be the contractor for the said construction project.
We will re-commence the construction of the building once we get a clearance from the building insurance company to proceed.
