ADZU Masscom to get boost with Newsroom Construction

The Department of Mass Communication under the School of Liberal Arts will soon get new facilities for the upcoming school year.

This after ADZU and the Cesar C. Climaco Fundacion has entered into a Memorandum of Agreement for the latter to undertake construction of a ‘simulated newsroom’ for use of masscom students.

The newsroom will feature state-of-the-art amenities of a typical working newsroom where students will get the feel of working in it during their journalism classes.

The newsroom will be housed at the present faculty workroom of the Department.
Faculty room reverts to its old site at the photography workplace in the LRC 3rd floor.

The MOA was entered into by ADZU President Fr. Antonio F. Moreno, SJ and Zamboanga City 1st District Rep. Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, the niece of the late Mayor Cesar C. Climaco.

The newsroom is scheduled for completion by June 2010 in time for the opening of classes.
