A national seminar entitled “USWAG: Dangal ng Filipino 2019” was held at the Regis Hall of the Grade School complex last November 7, 8 and 9. There were 250 participants who attended the seminar. While majority of the participants were from Zamboanga City, there were also those who came as far as Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, Sibugay Province and Basilan.
The said seminar was made possible through the effort of Kapisanan ng Superbisor at mga Guro sa Filipino (KASUGUPIL) who invited the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), the government agency for language to conduct the seminar in Zamboanga City. According to the President of KASUGUPIL Ms Baby Lyne E Salona, the seminar was intended for Filipino teachers in order to broaden their knowledge on the newly reformed Ortograpiyang Pambansa (National Orthography), Manwal sa Masinop na Pagsulat (A Style Guide on Writing Standards) and Korespondensiya Opisyal (Government Correspondence).
