Year-End Thanks

22 March 2016

MEMO TO :  THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

RE : YEAR-END THANKS

The commencement and completion ceremonies signify the culmination of another school year. Allow me then, to thank everyone behind the success of all these activities: the academic units headed by their Principals and Deans, and the Academic Vice President and their respective organizing committees; the GS/HS/CO Registrar Offices, Physical Plant Office, and the University Security Office.

This has been a good year for us, especially academically — with very commendable board examination performances for our Accountancy, Education, Medical Education, and Nursing programs. For this, I credit and commend the academic leaders and the faculty of the respective schools and colleges. We have also gotten good results for our accreditation and quality assurance efforts with the Junior High School being granted another five-year re-accreditation and with CHED’s grant of Center of Development for Information Technology.

Along with the academic units and the ARC, I also thank the different social development centers and offices, for helping the University carryout its mission of leadership and service in the areas of teaching, research, and community engagement.

I thank, too, all central services units and the formation clusters because their work is what fuels our drive towards institutional excellence.

My work as President is made bearable because you all share the burden. Thus, I take this moment to express my deep gratitude for your unwavering and wholehearted support and your continued commitment in the service of our University’s mission.

Lastly, in this season of Lent, I ask the community to join me in offering prayers for clean, peaceful and honest elections, and for a sustained and lasting peace in Zamboanga City, in Mindanao and the rest of the country.

Muchisimas gracias a todos!

FR KAREL S SAN JUAN SJ
