MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY
RE: THE ADZU CENTENNIAL JUBILEE YEAR LAUNCH
It is with deep joy that I announce to you the launching of our Centennial Jubilee Year on 30 July, Monday. Since this is really a very special day for all of us, I ask the members of our community to participate in the following activities:
08.00 AM – Unveiling of Old Ateneo Marker (Plaza Pershing)
– Procession from Plaza Pershing to Main Campus
09.00 AM – Centennial Jubilee Mass (MPCC)
10.45 AM – Opening of Centennial Square Garden, Wreath Laying & Naming of the Main Campus (Centennial Square Garden)
12.00 AM – Lunch for all
02.00 PM – Students’ Centennial Jubilee Opening Program (MPCC)
06.00 PM – Dinner (for AdZU Faculty/Staff and Guests)
(Astoria Regency Convention Center)
It will be a non-academic day for all on 30 July (Monday) and holiday on 31 July (Tuesday).
I would like to thank Fr Wilfredo M Samson SJ and his team, El Consejo, all the academic units (GS, HS, and Tertiary units), Physical Plant Office, Fr Edwin Gabriel Ma U Castillo SJ and his liturgical team, Campus Ministry, the Liturgical Society, AdZU Concert Band, Association of Religious Organizations, Security Guards and all the other groups who worked so hard for this celebration.
We ask the intercession and accompaniment of St Ignatius of Loyola as we begin the Centennial Jubilee Year. Happy Feast Day! Happy Centennial Jubilee Year!
