As part of the continuing efforts to uphold and enhance the culture of quality within the Basic Education Unit, the Office of the Vice President for Basic Education successfully organized the Basic Education Quality Assurance Training on October 28, 2025, at the Grade School Regis Hall, Fr William H Kreutz Campus. The event brought together the Basic Education community, from Grade School, Junior High School, and Senior High School, reaffirming their shared commitment to quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
The training was facilitated by Dr Evelyn G Chavez, Director of the Quality Assurance and Strategic Management Office (QASMO), and Mr Herbert V Deirio MBA, QASMO Quality Assurance Officer, who served as the main speakers.
The morning sessions provided participants with a guided review of the PAASCU Self-Survey Instrument, strategies for evidence mapping, and techniques for preparing the Self-Survey and Narrative Reports. The facilitators also introduced efficient methods for organizing and hyperlinking digital documents to streamline the accreditation process.
In the afternoon, the Presentation of Outputs for the various PAASCU Areas showcased the participants’ collaborative work, reflecting their deepened understanding of quality assurance processes and documentation standards. The session promoted active engagement through feedback and discussion across departments.
The Office extends its appreciation to Ms Elena B Segurigan, Grade School Principal; Fr Roberto M Boholst SJ, Junior High School Principal, represented by Ms I-C DC Zamora; and Ms Diane S Candido, Senior High School Principal, for their steadfast leadership and unwavering support in advancing the goals of quality and excellence in their respective departments. The Office likewise expresses its gratitude to the Quality Assurance Officers, Ms Annabelle F Gonzales, Ms Lyka Calago, and Mr June Dexter Martinez, for their dedication and consistent efforts in strengthening the culture of quality and continuous improvement across the Basic Education Unit.
