Ms. Leah P. Mata, a faculty of the Physical Education Department, and Ms. Lizette Anne L. Carpio, alumna of the School of Education, demonstrated their flame towards learning, excellence, and making a positive impact globally as they competed as part of the LakbayLapis2019 team consisting of 4 graduate students, showcasing their skills and knowledge in the 2024 Tsinghua International Case Analysis Competition of the Public Policy on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on August 17, 2024, held at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Both presenters are currently pursuing their MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction at the Philippine Normal University.
The competition brought together 40 teams from various international institutions. After two rounds of selection, 21 teams (8 graduate and 13 undergraduate) made it to the final round. Out of 8 graduate teams, the LakbayLapis2019 team secured the 4th spot in the competition.
