NSTP students spearhead Kids’ Fun Day 2014

The Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office, through its FFP-NSTP program, conducted the Kids’ Fun Day simultaneously on December 13, 2014 at the Multi-Purpose Covered Courts and Brebeuf Gymnasium of Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Fr. Eusebio Salvador SJ campus and at their respective partner schools. Jollibee and Unilever provided the hygiene kits, food and toys for the children.

Sixteen (16) NSTP sections conducted their respective Kids’ Fun Day activities in their partner institutions – Tetuan Elementary School, Guiwan Elementary School, San Roque Elementary School, Sta. Maria Elementary School, Putik Elementary School and Tumaga Elementary School. The children from Barangay San Jose Cawa-Cawa, Barangay Zone II and the IDPs of Masepla Mampang Transitory Site – Angiskul Ma Bangka Center were also beneficiaries of the activities. A total of 343 children received hygiene kits, food, toys and school supplies. These children will be the NSTP students’ tutees in the LTS program of the NSTP. The activity did not only focus on giving but also provided an opportunity for the NSTP students to get to know their tutees deeper.

The activity was a product of the teamwork and generosity of SACSI’s partner institutions, the barangays barangay leaders, NSTP formators, NSTP facilitators and the NSTP students of this school year.
