November 28, 2009 – The Ateneo Fiesta Sports events kicked off today

The different colleges battle it out in the various sports events as each team try to bring home the gold.
In Basketball Men’s division, Accountancy got their first win over SOM, CSIT then won over educ, Nursing toppled HS and SLA won over the Graduate School; in the Women’s Division, BM defeated Educ and CSIT won over SLA.

In volleyball Men’s Division, GS won over BM , SLA triumphed over Educe, HS won  over Accountancy, CSIT defeated SOM; in the Women’s Division, BM won over CSIT, FS toppled Educe, GS won over SOM, and Accountancy triumphed over Graduate School.

In Football Men, CSIT defeated Accountancy in their first game while HS won over BM; in the Women’s Division, SLA bagged the crown against BM and Educe rose victorious over HS.

In Softball Men, Nursing won over HS and SLA defeated CSIT; in the Women’s Division.

In Darts Men, CSIT won over BM, Nursing triumphed over SLA, Accountancy won against Graduate School and FS won over Educ; in the Women’s division, CSIT won over BM, Educ won over Accountancy, FS triumphed over SLA and Nursing won against SOM.

In Tug-of-war Men, Educ won over BM, FS toppled Accountancy, SLA won over SOM and CSIT won against Graduate School; in the Women’s Division, Educ won over BM, SLA won over SOM, CSIT triumphed against Nursing and Accountancy defeated FS.

In Sepak Takraw, HS won over BM in the first game, CSIT toppled FS, Accountancy won over SLA, SOM triumphed over Nursing, CSIT bagged their second victory in the event by winning over HS and Accountancy also bagged their second win over SOM.

In Futsal Men, SOM won over Nursing, CSIT bagged the win over Educ, Accountancy won over FS and SLA toppled the HS team; in the Women’s Division, Accountancy won over Nursing, Educ won over BM and CSIT defeated the SLA team.

The sports events will resume tomorrow and games will be held at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University grounds
