MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY
RE: NEW PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Upon the recommendation of parties concerned, I am appointing Ms Mary Rose Jean C Andrada as our University Public Communications Officer. She will organize a scheme to address our public communications including the use of multimedia, social media networking, and other ways of projecting ourselves to the public.
On a related note, please be guided that the use of our name (Ateneo de Zamboanga University) and seal in the social media network like Facebook and Twitter needs approval from concerned authorities. If the name used is Ateneo de Zamboanga University with our seal, this needs clearance from the Office of the President. If the name used is Ateneo de Zamboanga University High School with its seal, then the authorization from the High Principal is likewise needed.
The use of our official name and seal gives the reader the impression that all information given is officially sanctioned and authorized by competent authorities. Moreover, this requires accountability on the part of the user. Short of authorization and accountability, the use of our official name and seal for whatever purpose is not allowed.
I thank Ms Andrada for accepting this additional work on top of her regular work as Chair of Communication Department.
