More Nebulizers distributed to six barangays
Mr. Jose Edgar Muñoz, Chairman CEO of SS7 Security Services Corp. and Monteland in Cebu City and an alumnus of Ateneo de Zamboanga University, has donated and distributed ten more nebulizers to six barangays. The distribution was facilitated by the Ateneo Alumni Relations and Development Office, and the Center for Community Extension Services. The recipient barangays were Bolong, Dulian, Lamisahan, Limpapa, Manicahan and Victoria. These communities are isolated and hard-to-reach, and they comprise of sitios which are situated several kilometers away from the health centers. Because of this, CCES health volunteers coming from the different sitios of these barangays were tapped to distribute the nebulizers.
Together with the representatives from the different communities – CCES health volunteer, Brgy. Kagawad on Health, Brgy. Midwife, and Brgy. Chairman – the turn-over ceremony was held last December 05, 2010 at the LRC Conference Room, ADZU Campus. Mr. Jose Edgar Muñoz and his wife, Charity, were present at the ceremony, together with Fr. Antonio Moreno, SJ, University President, Christine V. Calunod, Director of Office of the Alumni Relation and Development, Loreta R. Sta. Teresa, Director of CCES and other ADZU Alumni.
This was the second time that the ADZU partner communities benefitted from the generosity of Mr. Muñoz. On June 08, 2010, he also donated and distributed ten units of nebulizers to the six barangays. The previously donated units were very useful to the people of the community. Mr. Muñoz continues his act of kindness, believing that through this effort he continues to live on the vision and mission of ADZU, being a man for others.
