RE : GRAND PAGBUKA 2011
The Inter-Religious Dialogue Program of the Campus Ministry Office in coordination with the Muslim Student Association (MSA) will once again initiate a venue for cultivating appreciation and respect through dialogue of religious experience. The Muslims all over the world have been celebrating the month of Ramadan. After more than two weeks of observing fast, we are now declining towards the end of Ramadan. In view of this culminating event, we would like to invite you to commemorate with us:
“A Grand Pagbuka” (Breaking of Fast)
On August 24, 2011 (Wednesday), 5:00 in the afternoon
At the Multi-Purpose Covered Court (MPCC),
Ateneo de Zamboanga University”
It has already been sort of a tradition with the Ateneo in showing solidarity with the Muslim community with pot luck of food (preferably “halal pancit”) by the different offices to make this grand celebration a symbol of our life in dialogue.
For our faculty, please refrain from requiring your students to attend the event since we cannot accommodate them all. We already have selected group of students who will be joining us for the said event.
We look forward to having you with us on the above-mentioned date.
Thank you very much.
