Greetings of Peace!
On the eve of our celebration for the 100 years of Jesuit Education in Western Mindanao, the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) office is ready to bring back the Social Involvement Month (SIMO) this September. SIMO was on a hiatus state for two (2) years to allow our office to evaluate the offerings of the program in the sixteen (16) years that passed.
With the theme “Alab” for this year, we aspire that there is a hope for every part of the Ateneo family to rekindle the fire in their hearts. That this fire was never out only this time, it will transform into a flame of a more active social commitment.
One of the major highlights of the event is the Environment Week to be held on September 19-24, 2011 at ADZU Backfield. During this week, traders and different government offices will participate in the celebration by having an exhibit showcasing their different products and functions. This activity aims to heighten the awareness among people within our community with regards to environmental matters.
In view of this, we would like to invite everyone (faculty, staff, and students) to visit our exhibit on the said dates.
We look forward to a positive response from you and support us in making the Ateneo community more socially involved. Thank you very much and God bless us all.
