MEMO TO : THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE : CREATION OF UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENT COUNCIL
In the light of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’ (On the Care of Our Common Home), I am establishing the University Environment Council which shall be the Ateneo de Zamboanga University’s catalyst for environmental care and protection.
The Council’s primary functions are to: (a) develop an environmentally responsible University community; (b) ensure environmental compliance of the operations of our campuses and facilities; and, (c) promote a sustainable society through the University’s academic and outreach programs, Research, and in our interactions with stakeholders and the external community. It shall be composed of the following:
