MEMO TO: THE ADZU COMMUNITY
RE: CITY OF ZAMBOANGA AWARDS ADZU PLAQUE OF APPRECIATION
I am happy to inform the community that the Ateneo de Zamboanga University was conferred a Plaque of Appreciation during the 77th Dia de Zamboanga Awards, given in recognition of the vital role the University has played in the protection and defense of Zamboanga City during the siege in September 2013, as well as our post-crisis rehabilitation initiatives.
The award was received by Fr Lito Ocon SJ in behalf of the community. We thank the Honorable Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar for recognizing the university’s efforts. I would also like to thank the members of the community for continuously helping in our efforts to rebuild Zamboanga City.
