CCES and PaMeLA hold Livelihood Orientation on Vermiculture

The Ateneo Center for Community Extension Services (CCES), in partnership with Paz y Mejorao Lamisahan Association (PaMeLA), conducted an orientation and training on VERMICULTURE and Vermicast Production for community members of Lamisahan, Zamboanga City. This was held on July 10 and 14 respectively at the Lamisahan Multi-Purpose Hall.

The goal of the event was to orient and enhance the community members’ capacity on Vermi Productions. In addition, they were also taught livelihood skills, social enterprise, and product packaging.

PaMeLA members, BLGU, Sabida, SILUPA, Calibat Lamisahan Upland Farmers Association, Cocopal, Sto Niňo Association, and other interested individuals were present during the orientation. Paz y Mejorao Lamisahan Association was represented by Ms. Aileen Gonzales and the Barangay Council represented by Hon. Rodel Alvarez. The training was given by Mr. Bryan S. Callao, CCES Program Officer on Sustainable Agriculture and Livelihood, PaMeLA Auditor Mr. Eliser Alvarez, and PaMeLA Peace Officer Mr. Antonio Cristobal.
