Campus Security, Traffic and Parking during the Investiture of Fr Karel S San Juan SJ as President of Ateneo de Zamboanga University

MEMO TO: THE ADZU COMMUNITY
RE: CAMPUS SECURITY, TRAFFIC AND PARKING DURING THE INVESTITURE OF FR KAREL S SAN JUAN SJ AS PRESIDENT OF ATENEO DE ZAMBOANGA UNIVERSITY


On November 23, 2013 (Saturday), PARKING AREAS inside the campus shall be very limited. Considering that the Investiture is a very special event of the University, we request our faculty and staff car and motorcycle owners to be extra patient and to give way to our guests. The following shall be our parking arrangements:

NO PARKING ZONES: (the whole day of November 23, 2013)

  1. Parking slots beside the University Church;
  2. Parking slots along the front of LRC Building (three slots for SOM parking will be available nearest the Guard House of the Vehicle Exit Gate);

 

PARKING FOR VIPS: (reserved the whole day of November 23, 2013)

  1. Parking slots along the front of the College Building;
  2. Parking slots along the front of the Brebeuf Gym;

PARKING FOR GUESTS, ADZU FACULTY AND STAFF

  1. Parking slots for the Office of the President and the Deans (shall be as is);
  2. The rest of the main campus parking areas shall be available on a first come, first served basis;
  3. Parking areas outside the campus as approved by the City Mayor’s Office (the side of streets closest to AdZU property) – La Purisima, Camino Nuevo and Nuñez Streets shall be available on a first come, first served basis;
  4. Motorcycles with legitimate gate passes will be allowed to park but on a first come first served basis.

VEHICLE ENTRANCE/EXIT

Gate 1 (Vehicle Entrance Gate) shall be strictly for vehicles only.

Gate 1 (Vehicle Entrance Gate) and Gate 3 (Vehicle Exit Gate) shall be temporarily closed once the Mass and the Investiture Ceremonies will begin. They shall be operational again once the activities are over.

PEDESTRIAN ENTRANCE/EXIT

Gate 2 (near the University Church) and Gate 5 (Nuñez Gate near MPCC) shall be OPEN for pedestrians. Gate 2 shall be closed once the Mass and the Investiture Ceremonies will begin. The University security protocol shall be fully enforced. Gifts if any, shall not be allowed.

Any special arrangements for special entry or parking of certain individuals or groups not listed as guests or VIP must be coursed thru the President’s office for approval.
