RE : BETTER COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
At our institutional convocation on 03 July, I have stressed the administration’s priority to improve systematically the compensation and benefits for faculty and staff. We have started this with the across-the-board increase of P 1,000.00 given last year, and the full subsidy of uniforms this year.
I am happy to announce that, in the regular Trustees’ meeting last Saturday (22 August), the Board approved the increase for graduate degree honoraria. Thus, effective 01 November 2015, honorarium for master’s degree will increase from P2,000.00 to P3,000.00; and for doctorate degree, from P3,000.00 to P5,000.00.
The increase in graduate degree honoraria is only one of the many remuneration improvements that the administration plans to implement. Depending on the University’s financial robustness in the coming years, especially in the light of the K-12 transition, we hope to introduce more measures to improve compensation and benefits for everyone.
Thus, I urge everyone to continue working with us to strengthen our University in terms of our human resources and financial sustainability.
